Lecturer in Hair and Media Make UpApply by 23/09/2026Salary £28,273 - £42,655 gross per annum pro rata Part-Time 18.5hrsTemporary until 17th December 2027 or the return of the post holder whichever is sooner 18.5 hours per week/ 52 weeks per year The Role As a lecturer you will be part of a curriculum team, contributing to the growth and development of the Hair and Beauty programmes within the Technical Centre. Teaching on predominately Level 2 and Level 3 Hair and Media Makeup courses. This includes a strong focus on retention, pass rates and student achievement alongside pastoral support, curriculum design/development and ensuring a high standard of quality provision is offered.What we are looking forYou must have a Level 3 or equivalent in industry relevant qualification, Level 2 in English and Maths or and a recognised teaching qualification. You will also need to have an A1 Assessors Qualification or equivalent (or be willing to work towards). You will also need to demonstrate current industrial experience in an appropriate discipline and up to date knowledge of current industrial practice and have experience of teaching levels 2 and 3 Hair and Media Makeup within Further Education.What makes Blackburn College an Employer of choice?
