Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Lecturer in Carpentry to join our Structural Technologies Department at Slough and Langley College working on a full-time permanent basis.Lecturer in CarpentryThe Lecturer in Carpentry role pays on the Academic pay scale between T1 £31,633 and T11 £45,341 per year depending on qualifications and experience. This role involves working 37 hours per week Monday - Friday.This Lecturer in Carpentry position focuses on instructing students on the Level 1 and 2 Carpentry courses offered at Slough and Langley College. As part of this role, you will design comprehensive schemes of work, formulate lesson plans, and deliver both theoretical and practical training. Primary duties involve evaluating student performance, establishing individual learning milestones, and offering academic and pastoral guidance in a tutor capacity. Additionally, the role requires managing precise student records, collaborating with parents and external employers, and actively participating in curriculum development and departmental quality assurance initiatives.Applicants must possess a Level 2 or higher qualification in Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery, alongside Level 2 credentials in English and mathematics. Candidates are expected to have prior instructional experience in a vocational setting, with a proven ability to seamlessly integrate core English and math concepts into woodworking coursework.
