Lecturer - Engineering
Here at Merton College, we are seeking a Lecturer to teach FE vocational courses related to engineering, predominantly on vocational Level 1, 2 and 3 and T Level programmes within the school. The Essential required area of Engineering Teaching is: To teach Electrical/Electronic Engineering at L1, L2, L3 and T-Level. Experience of delivering some elements of BTEC Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Have a working knowledge of CAD (Mechanical and Electronic) T-Level Engineering Have Knowledge/experience of the T-Level Units, ESP and OSP L1 and L2 Engineering Willingness to deliver units at a lower levels A key focus of the role is to support the Head of Section in ensuring that students meet and exceed their target grades, while also providing guidance and support to members of the teaching team. You will deliver a high-quality student experience and achieve outstanding outcomes in Engineering through the development of teaching schemes, assessment schedules (including coursework and student monitoring. We are looking for someone who is educated to degree level (or holds a higher-level academic qualification) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. You will have extensive knowledge and experience of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles, together with knowledge of engineering mathematics and CAD.
