Job Description

An established manufacturing business based in Basildon is currently seeking an experienced Leather Trimmer / Upholsterer to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled upholsterer looking for immediate work with competitive hourly rates.

The successful candidate will be responsible for trimming and upholstering leather components to a high standard, working to specifications and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Trimming and upholstering leather components
• Measuring, cutting, shaping, and fitting leather materials
• Working with foam, frames, and upholstery tools
• Reading and working from drawings, patterns, or instructions
• Ensuring finished products meet quality and safety standards
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
• Working efficiently to meet production deadlines

Requirements

• Previous upholstery or leather trimming experience is essential
• Confident working with leather and upholstery materials
• Good attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
• Ability to use hand tools and industrial upholstery equipment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to start work immediately
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
