Leasehold Advisor

Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Westminster Council who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Leasehold Advisor -this role will be based at: City Hall 64 Victoria Street, 64 Victoria Street, , SW1E6QP

The right candidate will:

• Handle complex queries from residents, leaseholders, tenants, staff, legal representatives, and external stakeholders via email, phone, and in-person.
• Respond to accounts-related enquiries from lessees and sales applicants professionally and efficiently.
• Process applications for home ownership schemes, lease extensions, alterations, assignments, and property sales.
• Calculate both estimated and actual service charges (revenue and capital), ensuring compliance with all statutory, contractual, and policy requirements.
• Produce accurate calculations for lessees, with full reconciliation against Council systems and complete audit trails.
• Produce statutory Section 20 Notices, ensuring all information meets legislative and Council standards.
• Prepare all documentation required for issuing major works bills, assessing liabilities in accordance with lease terms and Section 125 limitations.

We require the following:

• Prior experience working within the leasehold sector (essential).
• Experience preparing and managing service charges and major works bills.
• Understanding of Section 20 and Section 20B legislative requirements.
• Experience working with financial controls and audit trails
