Learning Technologist and Instructional Designer
Department: Department of Education About the role: The Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS) is seeking a creative, technically skilled and learner-focused Learning Technologist and Instructional Designer to support the development of high-quality online, blended and digital learning experiences across the Institute''s educational pathways. Based within the Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC), the role will lead and support activities that promote the effective use of technology in teaching and learning. Working closely with academic colleagues, faculty, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other stakeholders, the postholder will transform complex academic content into engaging, accessible and pedagogically sound learning experiences for diverse learners. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative learning professional who is passionate about learner-centred design, educational technology and continuous improvement, and who wants to contribute to impactful educational experiences within a mission-driven academic institution What we''re looking for: A bachelor''s degree, ideally in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or a related field. Substantial experience in instructional design, e-learning and course development, with a strong understanding of learning theories, curriculum mapping, assessment design and adult learning principles.
