Learning Support Coordinator
JOB TITLE: Learning Support Coordinator SITE: Post holder will work across all centres (North London/Hertfordshire) REPORTS TO: Deputy Chief Executive LINE MANAGEMENT: None HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per week SALARY BAND: 34,000 to £39,000 (Based on skills and experience appropriate to the organisation) OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB To ensure that there is a consistent, high-quality provision of learning, social, and personal development support across the organisation to learners with special education needs and disabilities (SENDD) To support, and collaborate with, teaching staff in adapting course curriculums and developing teaching and assessment strategies to meet the needs of SEND learners. Coordinate the work of a team of Learning Support Assistants providing them with leadership and mentoring and ensuring that they are working effectively to provide a high standard of support to SEND learners. To summarise the identified learning, social and personal development needs of SEND learners and ensure that there is an individual learning plan in place to meet those needs. To teach a number of timetabled classes each week. To provide learning support to SEND learners in the classroom setting for a designated number of sessions week. To support SEND learners in developing their personal and social skills and facilitate their integration within the wider learner group. To carry out all administrative tasks related to the job role.
