Learning support assistants required to work in special needs schools
We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistants to support a Primary/Secondary SEMH School.About the school Primary ACS and SEMHSecondary KS3 KS5 Challenging behaviour, SEMH, ADHDVulnerable young people, emotional and mental healthOutreach/Community Worker They are looking for at least 2 of the following qualities: Previous experience working in a PRU or alternative provisionGraduate (Sociology, Sports, Criminology or Psychology)Experienced Youth or Community Support WorkerSupport workers from mental health facilities or high-risk secure unitsSports coaches looking to transfer skills in supporting vulnerable young pupils educationConfident, resilient, positive personality Role: This will be supporting students with social, emotional, mental health needs across either primary or secondary ages providing classroom support.You will also be required to provide 1:1 support with any emotional issues, and supporting if pupils are behind with their work Requirements: Experience and understanding of how to support young people with social, emotional, mental health needsFlexible in being able to provide 1:1, group supportDeal with any challenging behaviours or incidents in a calm mannerAvailable to start immediatelyCommitment during term time full time Monday to Friday 8.30am 4.00pm How to applyIf you are a LSA who can enthuse, motivate, and engage students and would like the challenge of working in a demanding and rewarding environment, then we want to hear from you.To ..... full job details .....
