About the Role

Learning Support Assistants (Post 16) are needed for a full-time, ongoing placement in Newcastle upon Tyne, with the possibility of permanency. The daily rate ranges from £90 to £110. You will deliver one-to-one and small group assistance to students, helping with activities both inside and outside the classroom. Supporting learners with special educational needs and difficulties is central, as is fostering their confidence and engagement. Suitable candidates possess recent experience with young people, within two years, alongside patience and strong interpersonal abilities. A full enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one, is essential for this education-focused role.

Learning Support Assistant - Newcastle
We are seeking a number of Learning Support Assistants to work in a post 16 setting. The role is to begin as soon as possible and is on a full-time ongoing basis with the potential of being made permanent.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Providing one-to-one and small group support to students
✅ Assisting with learning activities in and outside the classroom
✅ Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and learning difficulties
✅ Encouraging engagement and confidence in learning
Requirements:
✔ Experience working with young people within the past 2 years
✔ A patient, supportive, and positive approach
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✔ A passion for education and student development
✔ Fully enhanced DBS or a willingness to apply for one via ourselves
