Learning Support Assistants / Mentors - Fareham

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Assistants and Mentors to join a vibrant mainstream secondary school in Fareham. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students aged 11-16 in their academic journey, helping them overcome barriers to learning and thrive in a classroom environment.

Role Overview You''ll work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to students who may need additional help with behaviour, engagement, or learning. Whether working one-to-one or in small groups, your role will be key in promoting confidence, motivation, and progress.

• Contract Type: Full-time

• Working Hours: 08:30am - 15:30pm

• Pay Rate: From -13.96 per hour

Ideal Candidate We''re looking for individuals who:

• Stay calm and positive in challenging situations

• Have strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach

• Are passionate about motivating students and encouraging participation

• Communicate effectively with staff and pupils

• Are reflective, proactive, and eager to learn

• Have experience supporting young people in an educational setting

Requirements To be eligible, you must:

• Have the right to work in the UK

• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the update service (or be willing to apply for one)

• Provide two professional references related to working with children
