Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: West Drayton, LondonContract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: 8.30am to 4.00pmSalary: £100 - £130 per dayJob Overview An established Alternative Provision in West London is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to support students aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behavioural challenges. This role is ideal for an experienced TA or LSA with a strong background in SEN, PRU, or Alternative Provision settings.The successful candidate will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping students access the curriculum, regulate behaviour, and achieve positive educational outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 support and small-group interventions for students with SEN and SEMH needs.Support students with challenging behaviour using consistent behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.Assist teachers in delivering lessons across core subjects including English, PSHE, and Humanities.Promote student engagement, emotional regulation, and positive learning behaviours.Build professional, trusting relationships with students to support academic and personal development.Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SEN staff, and support teams.Contribute to monitoring progress, behaviour reports, and intervention planning.Maintain safeguarding standards and support a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment.Essential CriteriaPrevious experience as a Teaching Assistant, ..... full job details .....
