Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (SEN)Location: St. Helen''sStart Date: October 2026Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term / Potential PermanentHours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-3:30pmTradewind Recruitment are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in St Helens, from September 2026.You will work within the school''s dedicated SEN provision, supporting a small group of 7 pupils across mixed ages with complex needs and challenging behaviours.This is a rewarding role for someone confident working with children with complex SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication needs and behaviours that can present significant challenges.The successful candidate will need to be calm, resilient and experienced in deescalation, with the ability to support pupils through periods of deregulation and distress, while maintaining a consistent and nurturing approach.The successful candidate will:Have previous experience working with children with complex SENDBe confident managing and deescalating challenging behaviourHave a calm, patient and consistent approachBe able to build strong relationships with pupils and respond to their individual needsWork effectively as part of a wider SEN and teaching teamHold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update ServiceIn return, Tradewind Recruitment offers:Competitive daily pay.Long-term opportunity with potential to become permanent for the right candidate.Free Training coursesA dedicated consultant ..... full job details .....
