Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or Support Worker looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day?

This welcoming specialist SEN school set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside are searching for an engaging, patience and proactive Learning Support Assistant.

With fantastic resources and a unique setting that feels like a mini village, this is a wonderful environment in which to support young people and become part of a close-knit, cohesive team.

You will support students aged 11-16 with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASC), PMLD, sensory and communication needs, and associated neurological conditions. The role includes personal care, so confidence supporting students with intimate care and daily living needs is essential.

The Role

Working closely with teachers, therapists and fellow support staff, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs.
  • Support students with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
  • Assist with personal care, hygiene and daily living routines where required.
  • Encourage communication, independence and emotional regulation.
  • Support individual EHCP targets and learning goals.
  • Use consistent, patient approaches to promote positive behaviour.
  • Contribute to a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment.

About You

  • Previous experience in an SEN, specialist education, care or challenging behaviour setting is essential.
  • Confident and respectful when providing personal care.
  • Patient, resilient, adaptable and compassionate.
  • A strong relationship builder who enjoys collaborating with colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
