As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to secondary age pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Your role will involve assisting students in their academic, social, and emotional development, ensuring they have equal opportunities for learning and growth.Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with additional needs, both inside and outside the classroom.- Assist students in accessing the curriculum, adapting materials and resources as necessary.- Support students in developing social and emotional skills, fostering a positive learning environment.- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create individualised learning plans and monitor student progress.- Help manage challenging behaviours and provide guidance on appropriate behaviour and conflict resolution.- Assist with personal care and other practical tasks as ..... full job details .....
