Learning Support Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist educational setting. This provision supports children and young people with additional needs, including autism and associated communication or sensory needs.This is a highly rewarding role where you will play a key part in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them to engage with learning and develop essential life skills.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needsAssist the class teacher with the delivery of tailored learning activitiesSupport students with communication, emotional regulation, and behaviourEncourage independence and confidence within a structured environmentHelp implement individual education and support plansLiaise with teachers, therapists, and wider staff to ensure consistent supportThe Ideal CandidateExperience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly autism (desirable)A calm, patient, and empathetic approachStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to build trusting relationships with pupilsResilience and a proactive attitudeRelevant qualifications or training in education, care, or support work (preferred but not essential)What We OfferA supportive and welcoming team environmentOpportunities for professional development and specialist trainingDedicated consultant support throughout your placementThe chance to make a real difference in ..... full job details .....
