Learning Support Assistant - Specialist Schools Location: Southampton area Pay: £14.25 per hour Job Type: Supply / Day-to-Day / Full-Time Opportunities Available Teaching Personnel are looking for enthusiastic, caring and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across specialist schools in Southampton and the surrounding areas. The Role As a Teaching Assistant in a specialist setting, you will play an important role in supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to help pupils engage with their learning, develop their independence and feel supported within the school environment. You may be supporting pupils with needs including: Autism (ASD) ADHD Learning difficulties Complex needs Social, emotional and mental health needs Communication and interaction difficulties Behavioural needs Your responsibilities may include providing 1:1 or small-group support, assisting with classroom activities, encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils develop their confidence, communication and independence.
