The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Help children access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement learning strategies.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote independence.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all students.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:

• GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Experience working with children (school experience desirable but not essential).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• A patient, caring and positive attitude.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to different situations.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable

• Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Relevant qualifications such as an NVQ, CACHE, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting speech and language development.
