Learning Support Assistant Location: BraintreeReporting to: Headteacher, Class Teacher, SENCo, Senior LSAAbout the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming school in Braintree. This role involves working closely with teaching staff to support pupils with severe learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential in a safe, inclusive environment.You will play a vital role in supporting pupils academic, social, emotional, and physical development, both individually and in small groups. Key Responsibilities Support individuals or small groups under the direction of the class teacherProvide tailored support for pupils with learning, behavioural, communication, sensory, or physical difficultiesAssist in delivering planned learning activities and adapt them based on pupil responsesPromote positive behaviour and engagement in line with school policiesSupport literacy, numeracy, and ICT developmentHelp implement IEPs/EHCPs and monitor pupil progressProvide personal care where required (e.g. toileting, feeding, mobility) following appropriate trainingAssist with classroom preparation, resources, and displaysSupervise pupils during break times and on educational visitsSupport physical activities such as PE and swimming What We re Looking For Qualifications and Experience Experience working with children in a school or early years settingNVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Learning Support/Early ..... full job details .....
