Salary: £95 to £120 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEMH school in Telford that provides a nurturing and supportive environment for a small number of pupils. The school is committed to helping every young person develop confidence, resilience and essential life skills through positive relationships and personalised support.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Learning Support Assistant on a long-term basis with the opportunity to secure a permanent position. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support pupils with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom, encouraging engagement with learning, promoting positive behaviour and helping pupils develop their communication, social and emotional skills.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, SEND or behavioural needs

• A passion for helping pupils overcome barriers to learning

• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach

• A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people
