Learning Support Assistant

Would you enjoy working alongside a friendly school team with access to a specialist on-site clinical team?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist school in Westbury, supporting children and young people aged 8 to 19 with complex special educational needs, primarily focusing on SEMH needs. The school has a friendly and supportive staff team, free on-site parking and an on-site clinical team including psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, speech and language therapists and occupational therapists, with support grounded in attachment principles and emotional safety.

The school is looking for an enthusiastic LSA, with flexible full-time and part-time opportunities available depending on how you prefer to work. The successful LSA will work alongside teaching staff and the wider clinical team to provide classroom and emotional support, helping students engage with their education within a safe and supportive environment.

The successful LSA will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience supporting students with SEMH or complex special educational needs
• An understanding of supporting emotional wellbeing within an educational environment
• A patient, caring and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility and a willingness to support students according to their individual needs
