About the Role:
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive secondary school in Southampton from September 2025. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys helping young people reach their full potential in the classroom.
In this role, you will support teaching staff in delivering engaging lessons and assist students across various subjects. While this is not a specialist SEN role, you will play a vital part in encouraging students to stay focused, participate actively, and develop confidence in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with teachers to support the delivery of lessons and learning activities.
Provide classroom-based assistance, helping students stay engaged and access the curriculum.
Offer encouragement and additional support to students who may need a boost in confidence or understanding.
Support pupils during lessons, transitions between classes, and at break times.
Contribute to maintaining a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Participate in school life, including involvement in extracurricular clubs and events.
Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
