Learning Support Assistant - Primary School (Hemel Hempstead)

Supply Desk is proud to be working in partnership with a fantastic Primary School in Hemel Hempstead, and we''re currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team from September on a full-time, long-term basis.

About the Role:

You''ll work closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted classroom support across EYFS, KS1, or KS2, depending on your experience and the school''s needs. Your role will focus on helping pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to access the curriculum, develop essential skills, and grow in confidence.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 or small group basis

Assisting with tailored interventions in literacy, numeracy, and emotional development

Helping implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement

Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff

Adapting learning materials to suit individual needs

Tracking pupil progress and feeding back to the class teacher

Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

What We''re Looking For:

Previous experience working with children, ideally in a Primary school setting

A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude

Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
