About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with varying needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and complex learning difficulties.
- Work with smaller class sizes, allowing for more focused and tailored support.
- Support pupils across both primary and secondary key stages, depending on need.
- Foster positive relationships and encourage the development of social, emotional, and communication skills.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff in a highly collaborative team environment.
- Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive space where every pupil feels valued and encouraged.
- Implement strategies to help pupils regulate behaviour and remain engaged in their learning.
What Weandrsquo;re Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly in a 1:1 or small group capacity.
- An empathetic, calm, and flexible approach to working with pupils with a range of learning and emotional needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and families.
- Passion for inclusive education and a belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive.
- A current Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
