Learning Support Assistant Start Date: ASAP Contract: Long Term Salary: £88 £110 per day (dependent on experience) Hours: 08 00, Monday to Friday Location: PortsmouthAbout the Role We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join the Learning Support Department of an outstanding Primaryt school in the Portsmouth area. The school is renowned for its inclusive approach, exceptional student support, and commitment to helping young people achieve their academic potential in a positive and supportive environment.In this role, you will support students with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences. Working closely with teaching staff and the Learning Support team, you will provide in-class support, help students access learning effectively, and encourage independence and confidence throughout their school journey.What You''ll Be Doing Providing classroom-based support for students with additional learning needs.Working on a one-to-one basis or with small groups to promote engagement and progress.Assisting students in accessing lesson content across a range of subjects.Supporting the development of study skills, organisation, confidence, and independence.Liaising with teachers and Learning Support staff to ensure students receive appropriate support.Helping to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
