Supply Desk are working closely with a fantastic specialist school in Aylesburyandnbsp;that caters for students with a range of special educational needs, with a particular focus on ASD. The school supports children across both primary and secondary age groups, providing a nurturing, structured, and highly personalised learning environment.
About the Role:
- Deliver 1:1 and small group support for students with autism and related learning needs
- Support the implementation of personalised learning activities aligned with individual goals
- Help maintain a calm, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide consistent, coordinated support
- Assist students with communication, sensory processing, and emotional regulation
- Contribute to the development and review of personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies
The ideal candidate will:
- Experience supporting children or young people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or similar needs in educational, care, or community settings
- A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to support
- A genuine enthusiasm for working with young people who have additional needs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic school environment
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all students
