Learning Support Assistant - Full Time (Term Time Only)

Hertfordshire - Watford or Hemel Hempstead
Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: September 2026

About the Role:
We are looking for a committed and caring Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work within primary or secondary schools across Hertfordshire. This is a full-time, term-time only role supporting students with additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Support students'' academic, social, and emotional development
• Help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SENCOs

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young people
• Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable
• A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
• (DBS cost can be refunded after 20 days of employment)
• Patient, reliable, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
