Prospero Teaching is working with a Special Needs College in Stockport who are in need of a Learning Support Assistant from September, the College supports pupils from 19 - 25. As a SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will: Support pupils on 1:1 and small group basis, helping them to engage in learning and regulate emotions Need to be comfortable providing personal care to pupils Assist in managing challenging behaviour and sometimes high-risk behaviours, using positive behaviour strategies Build strong, professional relationships with pupils Work closely with other staff members, SEN professionals and external agencies to support development Requirements: Experience working with children or young people Experience working with SEN needs such as severe Autism, Complex Learning Needs and Sensory Impairments Experienced providing personal care A calm, patient, and resilient approach...
