Learning Associate Annual Salary: £25,584 - £25,992 (pro-rata plus Crawley Weighting) Location: Crawley Job Type: Full Time, Term-Time only Working Hours: 8:15am - 3:00pm, Monday to Friday Join our innovative and successful 11-18 school, with students in Y7-13 and excellent facilities, is a dynamic learning community. We are seeking to appoint a Learning Associate to support students both in class and in small groups within the school, starting September 2025. Day-to-day of the role: Assist in the education and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the Director of Learning - SEND and subject teachers. Deliver learning programmes to individuals or small groups of students. These programmes are planned and monitored by teaching staff and allocated to Learning Associates according to experience and qualifications. Provide support for individual students inside and outside of the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities. Provide personal care for students with disabilities, e.g., assistance with mobility, toileting, etc., and accompany students on out-of-school activities as required. Work with other professionals, such as educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, as necessary. Tutor and assist students individually or in small groups to help them master assignments and reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.
