Learning Support Mentor - Full TimeWe are seeking a motivated and supportive Learning Support Mentor to work within a Further Education setting, in Huntingdon supporting students across vocational areas such as construction and motor vehicle.This is a rewarding opportunity to help learners overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.The RoleYou will work closely with teaching staff to support students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities across a variety of environments, including workshops, classrooms, and practical training settings.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and group support to students with additional learning needsSupport learners in practical environments, including workshops and vocational sessionsAssist with notetaking, reading, and understanding learning materialsSupport the use of IT and assistive technologiesHelp students develop organisation, study skills, and independenceEncourage confidence, resilience, and progressionMaintain accurate records and contribute to student progress reviewsWork collaboratively with staff and external professionals where requiredAbout YouExperience supporting young people or adults in education, care, or trainingUnderstanding of (or willingness to learn) a range of SEND needsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPatient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationshipsGood organisational and IT skillsInterest or experience in construction and/or motor vehicle environmentsAbility to work both ..... full job details .....
