This one is about helping young adults build the life they want.Principal Education is recruiting a Level 3 SEN LSA for a specialist Post 19 provision in Wandsworth, run by a respected autism charity. The provision supports adults aged 19 to 25 with autism and related communication needs, and every learner has an EHCP. Teaching here is underpinned by ABA, and learners spend around half their week out in the community, building the communication, independence and work skills they''ll carry for life.If you''ve supported autistic adults in care, worked with teenagers in a special school, or want to learn ABA from people who do it properly, this is a role that will genuinely change how you work.The role Support learners one to one and in small groups, in the hub and out in the communityDeliver individual programmes using ABA strategies, with training and guidance from the clinical teamHelp learners build real life skills: travel, shopping, cooking, money and work experienceSupport communication through signing, visuals and an inclusive communication approachStay calm and follow behaviour plans when learners find things difficultCelebrate every step towards independence, because each one matters What you MUST demonstrate A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or an equivalent Level 3Experience supporting autistic young people or adults, whether in a school, college, care or supported living settingTeam ..... full job details .....
