Learning Support Assistant- Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to support students with a range of learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. This role is to support one of our partner schools based in Blyth, Northumberland. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional learning needsAssist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activitiesSupport students with social, emotional, and behavioural developmentHelp create an inclusive and supportive classroom environmentMonitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staffAssist with classroom preparation and resource organisationRequirementsAn enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain onePrevious experience working with children or young people (preferred)Understanding of special educational needs (SEN) is an advantageStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPatience, empathy, and a positive attitudeAbility to work effectively as part of a teamRelevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essentialWhat We OfferA supportive and collaborative working environmentOpportunities for professional development and ..... full job details .....
