Learning Support Assistant (Permanent) Colchester (Primary Provision) 34 hours per week Start: September 2026 Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people?We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join the team at Colchester, a specialist primary provision supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 who have experienced barriers to learning.This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with SEND, SEMH needs, and those who have faced challenges in mainstream education, helping them re-engage, rebuild confidence, and succeed. The Colchester site is home to a specialist SEMH provision for pupils with EHCPs, supporting children referred through: Permanent ExclusionRequest for SupportSEND Operations Our mission is simple: to help every pupil overcome barriers, re-engage with learning, and successfully transition to their next stage in education. The Role You will work closely with the SENCo, Senior Leadership Team, and teaching staff to provide both 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally.You ll play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment, where every child feels valued and supported.
