Build positive relationships to promote trust, engagement, and wellbeing. Support emotional regulation using de-escalation and behaviour strategies. Encourage positive behaviour, social interaction, and independence. Support pupils during unstructured times and transitions. Supporting Teaching and Learning Work with the teacher to adapt activities to meet pupils’ needs. Support re-engagement with learning following dysregulation. Deliver targeted interventions (e.g. emotional literacy, social skills). Implement IEPs, EHCPs, and behaviour support plans. Monitoring and Reporting Track and record behaviour, progress, and emotional responses. Provide feedback to the teacher and SENCO. Contribute to reviews and maintain accurate records. Supporting the School Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. Follow safeguarding and behaviour policies. Work with staff, families, and external professionals.
