About the Role

You will work closely with students who require personal care support, helping them to access their learning and participate fully in college life. This is a hands-on role that combines practical care with genuine encouragement, working alongside teaching staff to ensure every learner is treated with dignity and respect.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing personal care support to students in line with their individual care plans.

• Assisting learners with mobility, hygiene and other daily living needs as required.

• Supporting students to access lessons and activities alongside their peers.

• Working closely with teaching staff, therapists and families to ensure consistent, joined-up support.

• Encouraging independence and building learners'' confidence in their own abilities.

• Maintaining accurate records in line with the organisation''s safeguarding and care procedures.

What We''re Looking For

Essential:

• Experience or a genuine willingness to provide personal care support

• A calm, patient and compassionate approach to working with young people or adults with additional needs

• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners

Desirable (but not essential):

• Previous experience working in an education or care setting

• A relevant qualification in health and social care or learning support
