Learning Support Assistant - Specialist ProvisionsLocation: Ormskirk and surrounding areas Pay: 109.85 per day Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 3:30pm Contract: Full-time, term-time only Start Date: Immediate starts availableAbout the RoleWe are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to work within specialist educational provisions across Ormskirk and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting children and young people with SEND, SEMH, behavioural, communication or complex additional needs. You will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to provide tailored support to pupils, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop their confidence, independence and social skills.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.Support pupils with their learning, communication, emotional wellbeing and social development.Assist pupils with managing emotions, behaviour and challenging situations.Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a consistent and supportive role model.Support pupils to develop confidence, independence and resilience.Follow individual learning, support and behaviour plans.Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks.Encourage positive engagement and help remove barriers to learning.Support pupils during classroom activities, break times and wider school activities where ..... full job details .....
