Learning Support Assistant - Liverpool

Tempest Education are working with an SEN School in Liverpool.The School are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant from January 2026.The school is the heartbeat of the Liverpool community and is OFSTED graded GOOD. The School are looking to appoint the member of staff following the half term break.As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide personalised support for students with SEN, ensuring they receive the assistance they need to thrive in their education. Your responsibilities will include:Assisting in the implementation of personalised learning plans for SEN studentsOffering 1:1 and small group support for children.Supporting children working below their expected levelHelping create a nurturing, positive, and inclusive learning environmentSupporting classroom activities and adapting resources to meet students'' needsEncouraging social, emotional, and academic developmentCollaborating with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to deliver targeted interventionsRequirements: Experience working with children, especially those with SEN, is highly desirablePatience, compassion, and a positive approach to supporting children''s learningExcellent communication and teamwork skillsA genuine passion for working in education and helping children succeedAn enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)Minimum 6 months experience within a School environmentHow to Apply:If you''re ready to ..... full job details .....
