Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs to achieve their full potential?
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist education setting supporting children and young people with a range of complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and health needs.
About the Role
Working alongside teachers and therapy professionals, you will help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. You will support learners both in the classroom and during therapeutic, recreational and physical activities.
This is a highly rewarding role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils'' learning, development and wellbeing across the school day.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and personalised learning activities.
- Encourage independence, confidence and social development.
- Support pupils during therapy sessions, sports and physical activities.
- Help maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with education, therapy and support staff to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
About You
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
- Patient, caring and resilient with a positive attitude.
- Able to build effective relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable supporting pupils in a range of educational, therapeutic and physical activities, including swimming and sports.
- Committed to learning and professional development.
