The students you will work with may have identified SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) and SCLN (Speech, Communication and Language Needs), and some may have an EHCP or require additional support to access the curriculum. Your role will be to work alongside teaching staff to provide high-quality support, helping students engage in learning and make positive progress both academically and socially. This role can be challenging at times, as some students may present with behaviours that require patience, consistency and strong behaviour management skills. Previous experience working with young people with additional needs, either in a school or similar setting, is essential.
