A secondary school in Waltham Forest is looking for a committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team and provide essential support to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour.

What you''ll be doing
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring students with SEMH needs can thrive in school. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support in lessons and during unstructured times
- Delivering targeted interventions to help students develop emotional regulation, resilience and social skills
- Supporting teachers in managing behaviour and adapting learning activities where needed
- Building positive, consistent relationships with students as a trusted adult
- Working alongside the SENCO, pastoral team and external agencies to ensure joined-up support for every child
