Learning Support Assistant

Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex
Contract: Part-Time / Term Time Only
Start Date: ASAP / April 2026
Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

Academics - Term Time Teachers are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established primary school in Eastbourne to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive school environment where staff are valued and pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 (depending on experience)

• Deliver small-group interventions in literacy and numeracy

• Provide 1:1 support where required

• Assist the class teacher in creating a positive and engaging learning environment

• Help promote pupils'' social, emotional and academic development

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working in a primary school setting

• Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)

• Is patient, proactive and adaptable

• Has a genuine passion for supporting children''s learning

• Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
