About the Opportunity:
An excellent secondary school in the Middleton area is looking to appoint a committed and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a full-time role supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing both academic and emotional support within the classroom and in small group or 1:1 settings.
The position is offered until the end of the academic year 2026, with the possibility of a permanent position available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-class support to students with additional learning needs
Assist teachers in delivering tailored interventions and differentiated lessons
Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning
Help promote positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom
Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals to support pupil progress
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a secondary school is essential
Strong understanding of SEN and inclusive teaching practices
Patient, supportive and confident in working with young people
Able to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when required
Committed to the full duration of the role (until July 2026) with a view to long-term work
