Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Erdington, West Midlands

Academics are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant post-16 college in Erdington. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) as they progress through their education. This is a full time position starting immediately!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND
• Assist with the implementation of individual learning plans
• Support students to develop independence and confidence in their learning
• Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt learning materials and strategies
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the learning support team

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years'' experience supporting children and/or adults with SEND
• Understanding of different special educational needs and appropriate support strategies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexibly within a busy educational environment
• A positive, patient, and proactive approach
