Working Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: -90- -120 per day

About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant to work within a primary school in the Watford or Hemel Hempstead area.

This full-time, term-time role involves supporting pupils in the classroom who require additional help with their learning. The successful candidate may work with small groups of pupils or provide 1:1 support for a child with additional or special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom to help them engage with lessons and activities

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils who may have additional needs

• Assist the class teacher with learning activities and classroom organisation

• Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills

• Support children with special educational needs (SEN) where required

• Encourage a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Experience working with children

• A caring, patient, and supportive approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

• An interest in supporting children with additional needs or SEN

Requirements

• Must hold a DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one before starting.

• Must be able to work full time
• Must be able to provide two working professional references within the last 2 years.
