Learning Support Assistant SEN School Margate £95 - £100 per day - 8:30am 3:30pm - Monday Friday - Term Time Only - Long-Term Supply We are recruiting on behalf of a small, welcoming SEN school in Margate for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a long-term supply basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right person. About the School This is a specialist SEN school supporting pupils across both Primary and Secondary age ranges, with a range of Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) and Learning Difficulties. Many pupils have additional needs including: ASD ADHD Attachment difficulties SEMH needs Learning difficulties The school provides a supportive, structured environment where staff work closely with pupils to help them develop both academically and personally. You ll be joining a friendly and welcoming team where building positive relationships with students is at the heart of the role. The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support pupils both 1:1 and in small groups, helping them engage with learning and providing encouragement, structure and pastoral support. The role may involve supporting students who can display challenging behaviour, so confidence, patience and a calm approach are essential. Previous experience with interventions or mentoring young people would also be beneficial.
