Learning Support Assistant - Chichester

Job Opportunity: SEN Learning Support Assistants (x2) - Primary School, Chichester
A nurturing and inclusive primary school in Chichester is seeking two dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to join their team. These roles are to start ASAP for an initial 6-week placement, with the potential for extension following review.
Location: Chichester
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 15:30pm
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Temporary (initial 6 weeks, placement to be reviewed)
About the Role:
You will be supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including complex learning and behavioural needs. Working closely with class teachers and the SEN team, you''ll help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment tailored to individual pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support
- Assist with learning activities and classroom routines
- Support pupils'' emotional and social development
- Encourage independence and positive behaviour
- Help maintain a safe and supportive learning space
- Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to pupil progress reports
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children with SEN (preferred)
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
