If so, we''d love to hear from you.TeacherActive is working with a welcoming and supportive secondary behaviour school in Cardiff, seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis.This specialist setting supports pupils aged with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The school prides itself on creating a safe, nurturing environment where every young person is given the opportunity to succeed, while placing just as much value on the wellbeing and development of its staff. The school is easily accessible with excellent public transport links across Cardiff.The Role Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.Encourage engagement in learning and promote positive behaviour.Help pupils develop confidence, resilience and emotional regulation.Work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team to create a positive learning environment.
