Learning Support Assistant

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join its supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students in the classroom.
* Work alongside teachers to support student''s learning and engagement.
* Help students develop their confidence, independence and organisational skills.
* Support students who may have additional learning needs.
* Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment.
* Assist students with accessing and completing classroom activities.
* Build positive and professional relationships with students and staff.
* Contribute to the wider pastoral and academic support provided by the school.

The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within a secondary school setting.
* Is patient, approachable and supportive.
* Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Can build positive relationships with students while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
* Is committed to inclusion and helping every student succeed.
* Can work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from teaching and pastoral staff.
* Is reliable, proactive and willing to contribute positively to school life.
