This one is about helping young people learn the skills they''ll actually use in everyday life. We''re recruiting Learning Support Assistants for a specialist SEND setting in St Helens, with opportunities to start ASAP. The setting has a strong focus on independence, employability and preparation for adulthood, with students learning through practical and vocational activities as well as more traditional education. YOUR DAY COULD INVOLVE: Working alongside a student in the caf- and developing customer service skills. Getting involved in practical workshops and woodwork. Supporting landscaping and outdoor activities. Helping with animal care. Encouraging communication, confidence and independence. Supporting employability and preparation-for-adulthood activities. Helping students overcome barriers and achieve goals that are important to them. This is a role where being willing to get involved really matters.
