Learning Support Assistant - ALS
The Role We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our ALS department at Hammersmith campus. The role involves supporting learners across all campuses at our college with a range of educational needs, helping them develop practical and academic skills, including during trips and visits. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will build positive relationships with learners and colleagues while providing tailored support strategies that help students achieve their full potential. You will work both independently and as part of a team, adapting support approaches to meet learners'' changing needs. The ideal candidate will: Have experience of working with young people, ideally those with additional learning needs. An empathetic, patient and confident individual supporting learners with a wide range of needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work both independently and as part of a team Good IT skills and a good general education, including GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) Experience supporting learners with additional needs, such as autism and/or social, emotional and mental health needs (desirable) A willingness to provide personal care support, including toileting and administering medication where required, following appropriate training Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education All employment offers are subject employment checks.
