At Able Personnel, we are recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing training provider for a passionate Learning Support Assistant to join their expanding team based in Northwich and Crewe.
This Learning Support Assistant role is home based with travel to 3 sites, offering the chance to provide personalised support to learners while creating an inclusive, positive learning environment.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with tutors and learners to provide tailored support that helps individuals access learning and achieve their goals.
What you will be doing:
• Work closely with tutors as a Learning Support Assistant to provide individualised support to learners, primarily on a one to one basis
• Assist learners in accessing the curriculum, engaging in classroom activities and achieving learning goals
• Support learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring educational, physical and emotional needs are met
• Collaborate with tutors and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to develop and implement effective support strategies
• Encourage learner independence by promoting self confidence, self regulation and responsibility for learning
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress, engagement and any issues, reporting observations in a timely manner
• Participate in careers events, presenting the Study Programme offer to students in schools and colleges
• Support classroom activities, including small group or individual sessions, providing clarification and encouragement
• Assist with preparation and organisation of learning materials and resources
• Promote positive behaviour and create a calm, focused learning environment
Qualifications, Experience and Skills Essential:
• Experience working with younger age ranges in Scouts, Brownies or similar settings
• Experience supporting individuals with additional needs
• This Learning Support Assistant role is more focused on personality and approach rather than years of experience
